An improbable couple drifts into a tiny Gulf Coast town, searching for comfort in booze, pills and each others’ arms. Chance Wayne, a Broadway-actor-turned-gigolo, brings his latest benefactress south to his hometown to escape the disastrous premiere of her comeback film.
